How Do I Create A General Fundraising Link?

GroupCollect Register is set up for passengers to receive individual donations toward their trip balance. However, some groups prefer to fundraise together. While there are options like Simple Raise for safe online group fundraising, GroupCollect Register can also be utilized to accept group donations. Here are the steps.

Create A Hidden Package

First, create a hidden package named Trip Donation. 

Create An Additional Passenger

Next, create an additional passenger within the trip leader's account. To do so
  • Log in as the trip leader
  • Click on the travel tab
  • Select add passengers 
First name: school name

Last name: "Middle School" or "High School" etc.

Phone number and date of birth: not be visible to the public.  

Continue registration as normal for the added passenger and stop when it asks for the deposit. 


Confirm Passenger

As an administrator, apply a manual payment for the deposit to get our donation passenger confirmed. 

Log in as the trip leader once again and go back to the travel tab. You should now see the donation link available. 

This is what it will look like to the general public when you share the donations link.

Notes For After Donations Have Been Accepted

  • You will want to determine a day to stop taking donations.
  • Delete the first manual payment made to see how much you have received in donations. 
  • Create a bulk credit for the amount of donations that have been received.
    • This can be divided equally amongst passengers or split up however the trip leader wants.
  • Once the manual bulk credit is approved you would cancel the passenger that was serving as the donation recipient and issue a manual refund to keep the books nice and tidy!
